We’re delighted to be partnering with a leading provider of higher education to recruit a Digital Learning Assistant. This is an excellent opportunity to join a forward-thinking organisation that is committed to delivering an outstanding online and blended learning experience for its students.

If you’re passionate about digital education, enjoy working with learning technologies, and have a keen eye for detail, this could be the perfect next step in your career.

As a Digital Learning Assistant, you’ll become an integral part of the Digital Learning team, providing both administrative and digital support to ensure the smooth delivery of online and blended learning. You’ll work closely with academic colleagues and internal stakeholders to maintain virtual learning environments, coordinate digital learning resources, and help deliver an engaging, accessible, and high-quality learning experience for students.

This is a fully remote position offering the opportunity to work within a collaborative team while supporting innovative approaches to digital education.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain and update the organisation’s virtual learning environment (Moodle), ensuring content is accurate, accessible, and well organised.
  • Support the administration and delivery of online and blended learning programmes.
  • Upload, manage, and maintain digital learning resources across multiple modules.
  • Provide administrative support to the Digital Learning team and academic staff.
  • Assist with quality assurance processes, ensuring consistency and accuracy across learning materials.
  • Support learners and colleagues with queries relating to digital learning platforms.
  • Coordinate digital content and contribute to the continuous improvement of online learning resources.
  • Ensure learning materials meet accessibility standards and best practice guidelines.
  • Work collaboratively with a range of stakeholders to support an excellent student experience.
Required Experience:
  • Experience using virtual learning environments, ideally Moodle.
  • Strong Microsoft 365 skills, including Teams, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent organisational and administrative skills.
  • The ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience supporting online or blended learning environments.
  • An understanding of accessibility requirements for digital learning materials.
  • Previous experience within higher education, further education, training, or a similar learning environment.
  • Knowledge of learning technologies and digital content management.

This is an exciting opportunity to join an organisation that places digital learning and student experience at the heart of its educational delivery. You’ll be working as part of a supportive and collaborative team, with the flexibility of a fully remote role and the opportunity to contribute to the ongoing development of innovative online learning provision.

If you’re looking for your next opportunity in digital learning and education technology, we’d love to hear from you. Apply today or get in touch at niamh.woodmass@instinct.co.uk for a confidential conversation.
