£42,679 - £44,465 per annum (pro rata) / 6 Month FTC Hybrid, with 3 days onsite in Central London Full Time

Instinct is working with a longstanding, well-regarded client in the higher education space who are looking for a highly motivated Learning Facilitator to join their Skills Lab. This is a great opportunity for someone with a background in training delivery and digital adoption to make a real impact on the way people interact with new technologies and processes across the organisation.

The Skills Lab plays a crucial role in enabling smooth, confident transitions to new systems and ways of working through the delivery of tailored learning support. As a Learning Facilitator, you will work across major programmes of change, supporting the roll-out of digital systems, tools, or business processes. Your primary responsibility will be to plan, deliver, and evaluate training and user support, ensuring staff are confident and equipped to engage with the changes being implemented. You’ll act as the key link between the technical project teams and end users—translating complex systems into practical, accessible learning experiences that meet the needs of a diverse staff population.

Key responsibilities
  • Coordinate and deliver engaging training sessions, both in-person and virtually, tailored to users’ skill levels
  • Collaborate with project and change teams to align learning delivery with transformation timelines
  • Respond to learner queries and provide hands-on support in workshops, drop-ins, and 1:1s
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of learning initiatives using feedback and performance data
  • Contribute to the creation and refinement of learning materials, user guides, and eLearning content
  • Support communication strategies around learning delivery and engagement
  • Build relationships with stakeholders to promote the value of training interventions and digital capability-building
  • Maintain detailed training records, support scheduling, and manage logistics across multiple projects
What we’re looking for

We’re looking for someone who brings a blend of strong facilitation skills, digital confidence, and a people-focused approach to change. The ideal candidate will have:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft tools, particularly Excel and Copilot, with the ability to work efficiently across standard office software
  • Experience with Power Apps is desirable
  • Strong background in Higher Education, with a proven ability to deliver in complex academic environments
  • Confident managing challenging stakeholders, with the emotional intelligence to navigate sensitive dynamics
  • Versatile in delivering learning across in-person, online, and blended formats; must be comfortable adapting to different delivery modes
  • Sound tech infrastructure required for remote delivery
  • Experience creating offline learning resources, including printed or downloadable materials that complement digital content
  • Some instructional design experience is important, particularly in supporting learners beyond the classroom environment
  • Practical problem-solver who can work under pressure and manage multiple demands in a short timeframe
  • Proactive and self-motivated, with a “start-up” mindset – comfortable with ambiguity and able to bring structure to messy or fast-evolving projects
  • Willing to hustle and push projects forward, even when information is incomplete or processes are still forming

Aside from hybrid working, this role will be entitled to a competitive benefits package and perks.
