Early Stages Learning Designer

Our client is a well-established bespoke eLearning provider, working in partnership with universities, professional bodies, and other institutes to deliver high-quality learning programmes. They are currently working on a large project with a well-known UK university, and are looking to expand their small team of learning design professionals in order to get their current course deliverables over the line on time and to the expected quality.

The role will involve leading on at least one module and working closely with the respective academics to scope out requirements, adhering to the appropriate pedagogical frameworks, scripting and storyboarding, and conducting quality review before being passed onto the respective team for content development. The ideal candidate will have worked with academics previously, and will be comfortable holding them to account with meeting availability when needed. Aside from this, the necessary experience for this role is:

• Proven early stages Learning Design experience, either in the Higher Education sector or similar (such as an OPM, or professional education body)
• Excellent understanding of adult learning principles
• Scripting and storyboarding
• Working with academics
• Designing programmes at the Masters level (nice to have)
