IT Technician – 2nd Line Support

Instinct are working with a highly reputable defence organisation who are looking to bring an experienced IT Technician to cover their 2^nd line support.

Company

Working with one of our long-standing clients, this organisation works across a wide range of military and aerospace training focused projects. They create a variety of online and face to face learning and use modern learning techniques and technologies to ensure they provide the best solution possible.

Role

This role will involve working with the Technical Support team to ensure the smooth running and maintenance of a number of IT systems and training equipment including printer, projectors, scanners and Ethernet networks.

You will be required to uncover faults and diagnose problems, repair/resolve any issues and assist with overall maintenance of several IT Systems and hardware.

As well as this, you will be assisting individual account users with any issues they may have.

Person

The successful person will:

• Have a wealth of experience working as a 2^nd line support IT Technician
• Ideally have worked within a defence organisation
• Be confident with a range of Microsoft products
• Ideally have an understanding of the MoD Accreditation and SCIDA processes
• An understanding of Network Infrastructure Services including Active Directory, Group Policies, DHCP, DNS and Firewalls.
• Be an excellent communicator
• Either hold SC Security Clearance or happy to undergo the SC check
• Hold a Full UK driving license and happy to travel to various sites
