Cornerstone Learning Specialist
MW CLS 1407
Here at Instinct, we are delighted to be working with a long-standing client in the manufacturing space undergoing a digital transformation. As they prepare to transition from Cornerstone Group Logic to Workday, they require a Cornerstone Learning Specialist to ensure that the learning function remains seamless and effective throughout this critical migration.
Role
You’ll play a pivotal role in reviewing and mapping the current Cornerstone group logic against the new Workday-driven data structure. This role will focus on reviewing the current Cornerstone group logic and conducting a detailed mapping exercise against the new Workday-driven structure, alongside supporting possible testing within a staging environment. This will involve ensuring that users remain correctly segmented and that learning workflows are maintained post-migration. You’ll need to assess the existing logic for how users are grouped and identify how this targeting will need to shift within Workday’s new framework, where grouping structures may be defined differently or named inconsistently.
While you won’t be leading the overall migration, your prior experience with similar transitions will be crucial in making sure the system and structures are fully prepared for go-live.
This is a short-term but business-critical contract, with potential for longer-term or ad hoc follow-up work post-implementation.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct a detailed review and mapping of existing Cornerstone group structures to align with Workday’s new data model.
- Support system testing in a staging environment to ensure learning workflows and audience targeting remain functional.
- Liaise with HR and learning teams to understand grouping logic, roles, tagging, and assignment rules.
- Ensure readiness for go-live and document any changes needed to preserve operational continuity.
Required Skills & Experience
- Proven experience working with Cornerstone OnDemand (CSOD), particularly in managing group structures and rules-based targeting.
- Familiarity with Workday or similar HRIS platforms, ideally from a systems integration or data mapping perspective.
- Solid understanding of how HR data feeds drive learning segmentation and delivery in CSOD.
- Experience of managing or supporting Cornerstone group structures, learning assignments, and rules-based targeting
Rewards
This is a fantastic opportunity to apply your Cornerstone expertise to a high-priority systems transition with a well-established organisation. You’ll be at the heart of a critical data-mapping initiative, ensuring the continuity of learning delivery through a system change. Gaining valuable insight while enjoying the flexibility of a remote, contract-based role, all at a competitive day rate.
