Competitive day rate / Part time, 3 days a week, 3 months long Remote, but strong preference for 1 day a week on site in London Contract

Our client is a well-established professional body within the UK healthcare sector. They support doctors in a very specialist field, providing education, training, and professional standards for the space. The organisation plays an important role in shaping national standards, supporting specialist training programmes, and driving improvements in patient care. Recognised for its collaborative culture and strong professional reputation, it offers a rewarding environment for individuals looking to contribute to meaningful work within the health and education landscape.

They are currently on the lookout for a Digital Learning Designer to support an inhouse team member in creating e-learning products for their specialist medical disciplines. These digital artifacts will vary in length and format, ranging from short training products to longer eLearning courses. Content will be developed in Articulate Rise and published via the internal LMS.

The aim is to design and build some flagships MVPs for each course type, to demonstrate the quality and value of digital learning within the college.

The key requirements for this role are to:

  • Lead the scoping, design, and development of creative and engaging online courses that meet the needs of diverse learners
  • Facilitate collaborative design workshops with subject matter experts, providing guidance on learning design principles and recommending content formats suited to busy online audiences
  • Produce detailed learning design plans, storyboards, and scripts that align with pedagogical best practice and organisational quality and budget frameworks
  • Design and build interactive, high-quality digital learning materials using tools such as Articulate Storyline, Rise 360, Synthesia, and Canva
  • Develop visually engaging and interactive content — including exercises, graphics, animations, videos, and branded templates — to enhance learner engagement
  • Stay informed on emerging design and technology trends, bringing innovative ideas to continuously improve the digital learning offer
  • Collaborate with marketing teams to highlight key features, benefits, and user engagement insights for promoting digital learning products
  • Support the management and optimisation of the Learning Management System (LMS), ensuring all content remains current, accessible, and user-friendly

The required skills and experience for this role are:

  • Strong eLearning development experience (Articulate Rise essential)
  • Solid learning design capability (ability to storyboard, script, and structure learning)
  • Skilled in converting SME content into digital learning
  • Able to work efficiently on varied course types (from quick learning objects to more substantial flagship content)
  • Strong visual design skills with proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite.
  • A creative eye for visual storytelling and accessibility
  • Excellent communication and project management skills

Interviews will be 1 stage, held on MS teams. Initial applications close 5pm Tuesday 11th November.
