Leadership & Management Consultant
NW LMC 2910
Instinct Resourcing is working with an established UK professional membership organisation seeking an experienced Leadership & Management Consultant to undertake a strategic review of its existing leadership development portfolio.
The organisation currently delivers leadership and management programmes designed to develop emerging leaders, senior managers and board-level professionals across its membership.
Following a decline in programme participation, they are looking for a consultant to evaluate the current offering, understand barriers to engagement and provide recommendations to improve programme effectiveness, positioning and future uptake.
The Role
The successful consultant will be responsible for:
- Reviewing three existing leadership and management development programmes, assessing their effectiveness, relevance and positioning.
- Evaluating current participation levels, target audiences and opportunities to improve engagement.
- Engaging with key stakeholders, including HR and L&D professionals, senior leaders, programme participants and alumni.
- Identifying barriers to participation and opportunities to strengthen relationships with member organisations.
- Reviewing existing marketing, communication and recruitment approaches.
- Producing a comprehensive report with findings, strategic recommendations and a practical improvement plan.
Essential Experience
We’re particularly interested in consultants who can demonstrate:
- Significant experience in leadership and management development, ideally within a strategic or consultancy capacity.
- Previous experience reviewing, evaluating or improving an existing leadership development portfolio.
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills, including gathering feedback from senior decision-makers and external partners.
- An understanding of customer experience, programme engagement and the factors influencing participation in professional development.
- The ability to translate research and stakeholder insights into clear, actionable recommendations.
Experience working with professional bodies, membership organisations, executive education providers or commercial learning organisations would be particularly beneficial.
The Opportunity
This is a fully remote, flexible contract offering the opportunity to influence the future direction of an established leadership development portfolio.
The assignment is expected to commence in the week of 9th November, with the final review and recommendations anticipated in January 2027.
If you have experience evaluating and improving leadership development programmes, we’d be keen to hear from you.
