Head of Learning Technology

Instinct is currently supporting a long-standing client in the professional membership space who have an excellent, global reputation for the education services they provide. They are currently in the middle of some exciting, primarily Moodle-based projects, and are looking for a Head of Learning Technology to join the team and lead on these opportunities into the new year.

The key requirements for this role are:

• Moodle expertise – (essential)
• Experience with tools such as Panopto and PebblePad
• Very strong technical skills – able to understand integrations, system architecture, and how multiple platforms fit together. Must be comfortable advising on technical decisions and working in a complex, mature digital ecosystem
• Experience working within academic environments, with stakeholders who value structure, clarity, and evidence-based thinking
• Diplomatic, collaborative communicator with excellent stakeholder management skills.
• Able to provide strategic input while remaining grounded and pragmatic (not someone looking to radically overhaul everything)
• Proven ability to get the best out of a diverse digital learning team – providing clarity, direction, coaching, and ensuring people are working to their strengths within a complex project environment
• Clear, consistent communication is essential
• Mature, experienced professional who can navigate complexity and bring stability
