Senior Instructional Designer (Canvas)

Instinct is working with an esteemed educational body who are one of the leading organisations in their specialist sector. They provide a wealth of qualifications at different levels for professionals looking to enhance their careers with accreditations, and are recognised as a trusted, leading provider in this space. They are currently seeking a Senior Instructional Designer with Canvas VLE experience to join their team; scripting and storyboarding high quality digital learning content utilising key learning theories and principles. The ideal person will have a wealth of experience designing content for higher and/or professional education programmes, and will be well versed with the Canvas VLE.

The ideal candidate will have experience in:

• Strong experience working within Canvas
• Proficiency in structuring and building content in Canvas
• Skilled in storyboarding content, including scripting and other planning elements
• Significant instructional design skills with the ability to develop and implement content in Canvas
• Attention to detail and good judgment, particularly when designing for professional learners rather than undergraduates
• Experience in Online higher education / Professional Education space

Desirable experience would also include:

• Experience with CidiLabs for authoring and content creation
• Ability to embed video-based content from video hosting service into Canvas
• Proficiency in Canvas Studio for video creation and management
• Ensure content meets WCAG 2.2 aa requirements using provided tools and resources
• Experience with H5P to develop interactive learning content
• Any experience in Finance, accounting, or investment management
