Company
Here at Instinct, we’re excited to partner with a leading consultancy on an exciting new project. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to a growing, successful business that delivers innovative solutions to major organisations across retail and healthcare sectors.
Role
This is a specialist Learning Technology Consultant opportunity supporting our client, through an ongoing associate relationship. The focus of the role is advising clients on learning technology ecosystems, shaping, evaluating and recommending the most appropriate learning tech stacks to support strategic capability building and organisational change.
You will support early-stage conversations with clients to understand objectives, current learning infrastructure and future capability needs, then translate these into clear, evidence-based technology recommendations. You will help clients sense-check whether they are using the right tools in the right way, challenge assumptions where necessary, and ensure technology choices are aligned to business outcomes rather than driven by trends or unnecessary complexity.
Skillset required:
- Learning technology ecosystem expertise: Strong experience advising on learning technology stacks within large, complex organisations, with a deep understanding of LMS and LXP platforms and how they fit into wider capability and change strategies.
- Market knowledge & horizon scanning: Confident navigating the learning tech market, including emerging LXPs and agentic AI-enabled solutions, with the ability to assess maturity, suitability and long-term value rather than chasing trends.
- Strategic needs analysis: Skilled at working with senior stakeholders to understand business objectives, current learning infrastructure and capability gaps, then translating these into clear technology recommendations.
- Technical translation & sense-checking: Comfortable turning strategic ideas into structured requirements, frameworks and option appraisals that clients and procurement teams can act on, without owning implementation.
- Consultative partnering: Able to act as a trusted advisor and critical friend — challenging assumptions, questioning tool choices and helping clients avoid unnecessary complexity while maximising value from their learning tech investment.
- Pitch & proposal contribution: Experienced in supporting consulting pitches by shaping learning technology strategies, articulating recommendations and contributing credible, market-informed perspectives.
This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in shaping and optimising of different clients’ projects and build an ongoing associate relationship.
