Instinct is working with a hospitality company that is looking on expanding their learning content to be able to upskill their staff. They cater to a wide variety of individuals and have a mix of venues across the UK and multiple well-known brands
Role
They are looking for a learning designer to design on modules within the organisation to be able to upskill their staff. They need an individual to come in and be able to script, storyboard and develop learning content.
Key skills and responsibilities
End-to-End Learning Delivery
- Analyse learning requirements and clarify objectives in collaboration with stakeholders and SMEs
- Design learning solutions aligned to business needs, learner context, and delivery constraints
- Select appropriate learning modalities (eLearning, blended, microlearning, performance support)
Storyboarding & Scripting
- Develop clear, detailed storyboards covering learning flow, interactions, assessments, and media requirements
- Write concise, learner-focused scripts for on-screen content, narration, scenarios, and activities
- Translate complex or technical content into engaging, practical learning experiences
Development Using Authoring Tools
- Build complete learning modules using authoring tools such as Articulate Storyline, Rise, Adobe Captivate, or equivalent
- Create interactive elements including scenarios, branching pathways, and assessments
- Apply basic visual design principles and ensure a consistent, professional learner experience
Quality Assurance & Handover
- Test learning products to ensure accuracy, functionality, and usability
- Ensure content meets accessibility, branding, and technical standards
- Prepare final files and documentation for handover or deployment
