Learning Design Specialist
CT LDS 2010
Client
Our client is a global management consultancy that works with organisations across a range of industries to solve complex business challenges and deliver transformation.
They are now looking for an experienced Learning Design Specialist to take ownership of the learning design workstream for its AI Accelerator initiative, helping shape how AI learning is delivered across the organisation.
Role Overview
This is an exciting opportunity for a senior learning designer to develop an AI learning ecosystem that brings together existing resources, expert knowledge, digital platforms and tailored learning pathways to help employees build their AI capabilities.
Rather than creating a single traditional training programme, the focus will be on curating existing content, identifying learning gaps and designing intuitive, personalised learner journeys. You’ll work closely with AI subject matter experts (SMEs) and stakeholders to turn complex AI, data and digital concepts into practical, accessible learning experiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Take ownership of the learning design workstream for AI Accelerator initiative.
- Design the overarching AI learning ecosystem, including learner journeys and personalised learning pathways.
- Identify learning gaps and develop new content or experiences where existing resources are insufficient.
- Collaborate with AI SMEs and stakeholders to translate complex AI, data and digital concepts into practical, engaging learning experiences.
- Apply user-centred design principles to create intuitive learning experiences across digital platforms, including SharePoint and LMS environments.
- Establish sustainable learning design standards, processes and frameworks that can be maintained and scaled by the internal team.
Essential Experience
- Significant experience as a Learning Designer, Learning Experience Designer or Learning Design Specialist, ideally in a senior or autonomous role.
- Experience designing learning pathways, digital learning ecosystems or scalable learning experiences, beyond individual training programmes.
- Experience working with SMEs and stakeholders to turn complex information into practical learning experiences.
- Experience within a large, complex, matrix organisation, ideally in consulting, professional services, financial services or a similar corporate environment.
- An understanding of UX principles as they apply to digital learning platforms, particularly SharePoint and LMS environments.
Desirable Experience
- Knowledge of AI, Generative AI, data or digital capabilities.
- Experience supporting AI adoption, digital transformation or organisational capability development.
- Familiarity with learning design methodologies, including a 5Di-style approach.
- Experience using AI tools to support learning design and content development.
If you’re an experienced learning designer who enjoys creating user-centred digital learning experiences and building scalable learning solutions, this could be a great opportunity.
