The client is a digital learning agency specialising in engaging, modern training designed for today’s workforce. They are known for creating high-impact microlearning content that is concise, engaging, and practical, helping organisations transform training into something people actually enjoy.
The Role
This is a hands-on Systems Learning Design role focused on creating interactive simulations and walkthroughs for digital tools, particularly AI powered workplace technologies. You will design and build scenario-based learning experiences that help users understand how to apply tools such as AI assistants, automation platforms, and productivity software in real-world contexts.
Sitting at the intersection of learning design, systems thinking and user experience, this role is ideal for someone who enjoys breaking down complex tools into simple, intuitive learning journeys.
Key Responsibilities
Learning Design
- Design and build interactive simulations for systems, software tools, and AI platforms
- Create realistic, scenario-based learning aligned to workplace use cases
- Ensure simulations are intuitive, engaging, and aligned to learning objectives
AI & Digital Tools Learning
- Develop training focused on AI tools (e.g. copilots, generative AI, automation workflows)
- Stay up to date with emerging workplace technologies
- Use AI tools to support content creation and prototyping
Instructional Design & Storyboarding
- Write clear, concise scripts and instructions for system walkthroughs
- Create storyboards, interaction flows, and wireframes
- Translate SME input into structured learning experiences
Collaboration & Production
- Work closely with creatives, developers, and SMEs to deliver high-quality simulations
- Review prototypes and provide usability feedback
- Support testing and quality assurance
Microlearning Alignment
- Convert longer workflows into short, bite-sized learning modules
- Ensure content aligns with a fast, modern microlearning approach
Essential Experience
- Experience as a Learning Designer, Instructional Designer, or Systems Trainer
- Hands-on experience creating systems simulations or software walkthroughs
- Experience with digital tools / AI platforms,
- Experience using authoring tools (e.g. Storyline, Rise, Evolve, WalkMe, Whatfix, or similar)
- Ability to manage multiple builds and work at pace
- Strong interest in AI, digital tools, and emerging technologies
