Role
You will play a key role within the Content Strategy & Governance Centre of Excellence, leading the development and optimisation of the external learning content ecosystem. This position is responsible for ensuring learning content is curated, discoverable, relevant, and aligned to evolving business priorities and learner needs across a range of digital learning platforms and external providers.
Working closely with internal stakeholders and external content partners, you will drive a data-led approach to content strategy, taxonomy, and metadata governance. The role also focuses on preparing learning content for AI-enabled experiences, ensuring assets are structured and optimised for enhanced search, recommendations, and emerging knowledge and learning technologies.
Key skills
- Manage relationships with external learning and content providers, evaluating content quality, influencing offerings, and ensuring alignment with internal learning and capability priorities.
- Partner closely with stakeholders across Learning & Development, HR, Technology, and the wider business to align content strategy with skills development initiatives and learner journeys.
- Lead the curation and continuous optimisation of large-scale learning content libraries, ensuring content remains relevant, high quality, and aligned to evolving business needs and workforce capabilities.
- Develop and maintain effective metadata, tagging, and taxonomy frameworks to improve content discoverability, search functionality, recommendations, and content reuse across learning platforms.
- Use analytics and engagement data to drive informed content decisions, identifying opportunities to enhance, retire, expand, or reposition learning assets based on user behaviour and skills demand.
- Apply an understanding of AI and LLM-driven learning experiences to improve how content is structured and surfaced within intelligent search, recommendation, and knowledge systems.
- Operate effectively in evolving environments, creating scalable governance models, frameworks, and processes to support a modern, AI-enabled learning ecosystem.
You will have
- 7–10 years’ experience within learning content strategy, digital learning ecosystems, content curation, or knowledge management environments.
- Proven experience working with external learning content providers
- Strong background in managing and optimising large-scale learning content libraries, including content selection, evaluation, governance, and lifecycle management.
- Demonstrated ability to use data, analytics, and learner insights to inform content strategy and drive engagement and skills alignment.
- Understanding of AI and Large Language Models (LLMs), particularly their impact on content structure, discoverability, and AI-enabled learning experiences.
- Experience designing or working with metadata frameworks, taxonomy structures, tagging strategies, or content classification systems.
- Knowledge of search optimisation, recommendation systems, and broader content discoverability best practices.
- Familiarity with content governance frameworks, quality standards, and scalable content management processes.
- Experience working with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and Learning Experience Platforms (LXP), ideally including platforms such as Docebo or Cornerstone.
- Strong stakeholder management and collaboration skills, with experience partnering across global and cross-functional teams.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence and engage a range of stakeholders.
- Experience preparing or structuring content for AI-powered learning, search, or knowledge management environments.
- Exposure to skills-based learning strategies, workforce capability development, or enterprise learning transformation initiatives.
