It’s hard to believe that we’re already two months into this season’s Premier League! Although Manchester City have regained their first-place spot from last season, it’s certainly shaping up to be a lot more competitive than last season, with Chelsea and Liverpool making impressive starts.
On the other side of Manchester, United are making headlines for all the wrong reasons, with seemingly unending speculation about the future of Jose Mourinho. With a potential managerial change in the offing, expect to see an influx of Manchester United players becoming part of Fantasy League Manager strategies from now on!
In terms of players, September saw some real standout individual performances. Eden Hazard is continuing his personal tradition of playing well every other season, whereas Harry Kane appears to have finally shaken off his World Cup hangover and has chipped in with goals. Expect to see both players cropping up in more Fantasy teams, with early season favourites Mo Salah and Kevin De Bruyne being dropped rapidly, due to loss of form and injury, respectively.

In the ‘Managers Trust Instinct’ league, we have a new winner, so well done to Ali Amer! Looking at Ali’s impressive team, it looks as though his decision to appoint Hazard as captain paid dividends. A strong final week meant he sealed September’s prize with only a 3-point lead!
