Instinct is working with an esteemed, long-standing client in the higher education space who are currently undergoing a significant transformation in developing the organisations fully online learning division. They are on the lookout for a commercially-minded and dynamic Operations Manager to join the team and assists in establishing various commercial operations for this new entity. As the new division is in it's early stages of development, this individual will be tasked with working across a range of services such as marketing, recruitment, and student support in order to have significant impact in optimising processes and pushing new, strategic initiatives. 

The successful post holder will have previous experience managing projects of broad complexity, and will have proven abilities to work with a range of stakeholders at varying levels of seniority. The ideal person will be strategy-led, a problem solver, and will have excellent communication skills in order to interact with individuals across the entire organisation. Building new operations, creating new processes and infrastructures, and bringing new ideas to the team will also be central to the role. Key responsibilities will also include managing and monitoring timescales and budgets, preparing business cases, developing project plans, and identifying new commercial opportunities.

The ideal person will have experience with:

  • Operations management, change management, and a broad knowledge of project delivery models 
  • Excellent communication skills, and the ability to collaborate with a broad range of stakeholders 
  • Problem-solving skills, and the capacity to take initiative in making commercial decisions 
  • A proven-record to deliver business change projects across a large entity and manage plans from ideation to completion 
  • An understanding of the higher education sector/market

Aside from a competitive salary of up to £50,000 per annum, the successful candidate will also be in receipt of an excellent benefits package including 39 days holiday, pension scheme options, an NUS discount card, health and fitness schemes, and much more. While the position is an initial 12 month FTC, there is a good chance this will extend.
