Instinct is working with an acclaimed organisation which sits within a well-recognised education provider, known for providing high quality course content at varying levels for a number of sectors. Their research contributions are deemed excellent and are driven by a desire to create a positive impact on the world in partnership with global organisations. They are looking for a Learning Designer to join a department currently working towards a high quality portfolio of digital and blended learning programmes. 

The successful candidate will need to have an excellent understanding of learning design principles in order to design modules and short programmes which are pedagogically sound, as well as in line with stakeholder expectations. You will be working closely with academics and subject matter experts to transform learning content into high quality programmes through various development tools and learning technologies. 

The Person

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Previous experience working in a Learning Design role within an educational organisation
  • Excellent understanding of pedagogy and adult learning theories
  • Experience working with subject matter experts and academics to scope out raw content in line with stakeholder expectations and needs
  • Experience scoping out projects, scripting content, and creating storyboards in preparation for development stages with industry standard authoring tools (experience with these tools desirable but not a necessity)
  • Experience using industry standard authoring tools and learning technology platforms
