Instinct are currently working with a well-established Higher Education provider based in Derbyshire who are looking for a creative E-Learning Developer to assist in the build of digital learning assets of a high quality which help continue the excellent standard of education offered by the organisation. Having been originally founded over 100 years ago, the organisation has grown and developed over this time to become one of the UK's highest rated educational providers. They place a significant emphasis on improving accessibility and inclusion means for all staff and students who benefit from the use of their digital learning systems. They have also won several prestigious awards for research projects in education, environmental management, and student impact projects.

As an E-learning Developer, you will be a key part in the organisations current VLE transformation/migration project. You will have the opportunity to work in an experienced team of other eLearning professionals to develop course materials and digital learning products that are both creative and accessible through tools such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Illustrator and more. You will have the opportunity to work closely with academics and key stakeholders to ensure all work created is in line with expectations, while also working to ensure all internal systems and software's are accessible to the wider users within the organisation. 

What you’ll need

The ideal candidate will have experience with:

  • Administering a VLE (Blackboard, Moodle, etc.)
  • Basic coding skills including HTML, JavaScript, jQuery, Bootstrap, and CSS
  • The Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop)
  • A background in education and/or working in an eLearning team
