Instinct are currently working with a well-established Higher Education provider based in Derbyshire who are looking for a creative E-Learning Developer to assist in the build of digital learning assets of a high quality which help continue the excellent standard of education offered by the organisation. Having been originally founded over 100 years ago, the organisation has grown and developed over this time to become one of the UK's highest rated educational providers. They place a significant emphasis on improving accessibility and inclusion means for all staff and students who benefit from the use of their digital learning systems. They have also won several prestigious awards for research projects in education, environmental management, and student impact projects.

As an E-learning Developer, you will be a part of the company's digital solutions team and will be tasked with developing engaging digital learning courses and other assets. You will have the opportunity to introduce a creative approach to the creation of course materials and other digital learning products that are visually appealing through working closely with experienced designers and developers in the team, as well as collaborating with both academics and stakeholders to ensure all work is in line with their requirements. You will also be responsible for developing a sound understanding of the organisations internal systems to make certain that all assets are suitable for the software in place.

What you’ll need

The ideal candidate will have experience with:

  • Administering a VLE (Blackboard, Moodle, etc.)
  • Basic coding skills including HTML, JavaScript, jQuery, Bootstrap, and CSS and/or industry standard authoring tools such as Articulate Storyline and Rise
  • The Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop)
  • A background in education and/or working in an eLearning team
