<p>The role is a strategic leadership role responsible for learning innovation, educational technology strategy, horizon scanning, proof-of-concept development, digital enablement, stakeholder engagement, EdTech partner management and development of the learning technology roadmap. Responsible for ensuring technology adoption is driven by educational value and learner outcomes rather than technology for its own sake.</p>
<p>This is a hybrid role with 2 days per week in the office, based in Central London.</p>

The successful consultant will act as a key advisor to help build the entire digital strategy, framework, and technology infrastructure for a brand-new professional membership organisation in Africa.</p>
<p><strong><em>Please note: This position is currently at the bidding stage. The successful candidate will be formally named in the project proposal, with the assignment starting in September 2026 once the contract is awarded.</em></strong></p>
<h5><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></h5>
<p>As a strategic advisor, you will not be doing hands-on coding or technical development. Instead, you will guide the leadership team through setting up their entire digital ecosystem from scratch.</p>

<li>A proven track record of digital leadership and delivering complex technology strategies.</li>
<li>Direct experience working with <strong>professional bodies, membership organisations, certification providers, or regulatory authorities</strong>.</li>

<li>Strong facilitation and virtual classroom delivery skills.</li>

<p>As the <strong>Business Development Lead</strong>, you will be responsible for driving new business growth and expanding the consultancy&#8217;s commercial footprint. This is not a transactional, high-volume cold calling role; it is a highly consultative, relationship-driven position. You will manage a blended pipeline, turning warm inbound marketing leads into strategic partnerships, while selectively targeting your own networks to open doors with high-value clients.</p>

<li><strong>Sector Expertise:</strong> Proven business development or sales experience within consulting, Learning &amp; Development (L&amp;D), Organisational Development (OD), or Leadership Development.</li>
<li><strong>C-Suite Credibility:</strong> Comfortable navigating complex B2B sales cycles and holding peer-to-peer conversations with HR Directors and senior stakeholders.</li>
<li><strong>Relationship-Driven Sales:</strong> A proven track record of converting early-stage conversations into long-term commercial collaborations.</li>
<li><strong>Modern Sales Approach:</strong> A self-aware salesperson with a learning mindset, who is tech-savvy enough to utilise modern tools (including AI) to streamline processes.</li>
