Our client is a charity who is an industry leader in their specialised field within the medical sector. Their core premise is to support patients, professionals, and the wider public with high quality educational content to ensure they receive the right support for their everyday lives. Aside from this, they work hard to promote greater knowledge of this medical sub-sector to the general public, organising frequent meetings, conferences, and seminars across the country. They are currently looking for an experienced Medical Writer to join their education team to assist in the production of engaging and well-informed digital learning programmes. The contract will initially be for 10 days of work, across a 3 month period, with the intention of this continuing on an ad hoc basis in the long-term.
The successful placeholder will have experience working with subject matter experts to create top-quality educational content, preferably in the form of eLearning. Aside from this, strong digital literacy and writing skills are a must, as well as experience writing and reviewing content and following medical accuracy. It will also be necessary to stay up to date with relevant reviewing journals and media, maintain strong ethical standards, uphold confidentiality when it comes to working with sensitive information.
The ideal candidate will have:
- A degree (or equivalent) in the science or medical field
- Experience writing for medical education and eLearning
- Experience working with subject matter experts
- Excellent digital literacy, writing skills, proofreading, and strong spelling and grammar
- The ability to meet deadlines
- A strong interest in the medical and health sectors
