Learning Technologist

Instinct is working with a client who are a leading education body, offering specialist qualifications and degree programmes aimed at individuals looking to break into the creative industries. They boast student numbers in their thousands and have grown extensively as an organisation over the decades, and now centre much of their educational offering in a digital format. They are currently looking for a TEL Officer to act as an extra pair of hands in an interim role, supporting the administration of their Canvas learning environment (and additional learning tools).
As a Learning Technologist, the successful post holders key responsibilities would be around supporting the rollout of key modules on Canvas for the next academic year, ensuring all work is accessible and contains the correct links in the right places. Aside from this, the contractor would act as a point of support regarding other key educational tools and learning technologies, facing any issues with a problem-solving and strategic attitude.
The ideal person will have:
- Experience with the Canvas VLE and other common educational tools
- Excellent strategic and problem-solving skills and the ability to work flexibly
- Development of digital learner interfaces and materials working for, or in partnership with, Higher Education institutions (desirable)
- Technical capability in the integration of LTI packages and third-party systems (for example, CidiLabs, Turnitin, H5P, Impact etc.) (desirable)
