Managers Trust Instinct // January MOTM

After an extended Winter break, your monthly dose of fantasy football blogging is back!

Following an unexpected slide in form, much-fancied early season favourites Manchester City have slipped out of the top four, along with fellow North-West strugglers Manchester United. Chelsea is still the team to beat at the top, with fellow title challengers Arsenal playing them this weekend in a crunch fixture.

At the other end of the table, the relegation battle has started to unfold and you’d be surprised if the bottom six didn’t consist of Sunderland, Hull, Crystal Palace, Swansea, Leicester & Middlesbrough at the end of the season. Having said that, Palace has just brought in a talented young unknown manager who goes by the name of Sam Allardyce; we heard he’s destined for big things…

In the Managers Trust Instinct league, we’ve got two prize winners to inform you about – Lauren Roberts for December and Mark Slater for January – congratulations to you both. Here is the updated cumulative ‘dream team’ for the Fantasy Premier League;

Heaton (Burnley)- 102 pts

Cahill (Chelsea)- 119

Azpilicueta (Chelsea)- 112

Alonso (Chelsea) - 112

Walker (Spurs) - 109

Sanchez (Arsenal)- 166

Hazard (Chelsea)- 134

Alli (Spurs)- 130

Eriksen (Spurs)- 126

Ibrahimovic (Man Utd)- 134

Costa (Chelsea)- 129

Here at Instinct Towers, we still can’t quite believe that Alexis Sanchez is classed as a midfielder, but fair play to anyone who has stuck with him from the start.

Until next month,

Your Chairman
