Does social media work for your business?

There is continued debate as to whether ‘social media’ can be an effective revenue generating tool for businesses, so Instinct thought they’d open this up, to see what the general consensus is.

 

There is no doubt that a business selling direct to the consumer can capitalise on social media, but how effective is it for B2B?

 

The facts appear to be unquestionable:

// 41% of people in the UK use social networks

// That’s a 400% increase since 2007

// A person spends an average 6 hours-a-week social networking

 

Social media marketing gives you huge reach and unrivalled access to customers’ behaviours and demographics. However, are business decision makers active in the social media space or do we need to wait until the new generation of active social networkers become business decision makers?
