A week of firsts…

Ryan Babel is the first professional footballer to be charged with improper conduct over his twitter mock-up of referee Howard Webb.  We believe this is the official end of the Football Association’s sense of humour – next they will ban Ian Holloway’s press conferences……we must stop them before it’s too late!

Also this week Instinct are proud to announce that we have made our first candidate placement.   Without patting ourselves on the back too much it isn’t bad after 8 days of trading!  We are seeing real positive signs in the market and we are sure that this will be the first of many in the first quarter of 2011.  From our various conversations and meetings, in the last week and a half, the green shoots of recovery appear to be growing.  There are more projects and programmes starting and the feeling seems to be that organisations can no longer “wait and see”.  The signs are really positive for everyone…

Finally, one more first, as Rihanna has become the first female solo artist in UK chart history to have number one singles for five consecutive years.  The debate in the office is whether this is news worthy or are we just trying to fill up our news posting!…..You decide???
