Macclesfield based organisation requires a service desk / 1st line support / helpdesk analyst to join an existing team providing assistance and technical support for all of the companies problems, incidents and requests. The service desk / 1st line support / helpdesk support position will deal with internal clients on a first line basis, recording and monitoring problems, incidents and requests using the HEAT call logging system. The service desk / 1st line support / helpdesk support position will work closely with desktop, infrastructure and business systems teams, escalating calls as and when necessary.
Candidates for this service desk / 1st line support / helpdesk position should have previous experience of working within a service desk / 1st line support / helpdesk role. The position requires excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability work under pressure. Candidates should have experience of supporting hardware / software including PC peripheral devices, Windows XP, Windows 7 and Microsoft applications such as Office 2007 and 2010. The service desk / 1st line support / helpdesk candidate should therefore have good problem solving, investigation, analysis and resolution skills.
Additionally the service desk / 1st line support / helpdesk position will involve supporting Macintosh OS applications, printers, Active Directory, Exchange, Blackberrys and mobile phones. Therefore it would be beneficial for candidates to have exposure to supporting a wide range of hardware and software.
It would be advantageous for this service desk / 1st line support / helpdesk position to have experience of supporting Apple iPads, Webex, FOIP and VOIP.
