This e-Learning Co-ordinator role reports to the Integrated Learning Solutions (ILS) Manager. The purpose of the role is to lead the adoption of new learning technology and digital publishing solutions, manage the production of e-learning AV media and provide day-to-day eLearning support and ‘best practice’ advice and training to the business.
Responsibilities of the role:
// Responsible for ensuring all tutors and external SMEs have clear advice, training and support when using elearning and AV software tools such as Camtasia, Adobe Presenter, Sound Forge, WebEx and bespoke elearning authoring systems.
// Keep abreast of new e-learning best practise (methods, standards, technologies) and drive forward its adoption ensuring lasting success and quality and the best learner experience.
// Undertake needs analysis from within the business and then work with key areas of the business and SMEs providing best practice processes and management in using new technologies and media in education programs.
// Manage day-to-day learning content creation and project coordination of the full production cycle of AV media produced within the business.
Skills required for the role:
// Appreciation of different elearning technologies (LMS, authoring tools, AV tools etc.), their application and deployment.
// Some experience and understanding of the publishing industry with some exposure in the following areas:
- Structured data content
- Content authoring processes
- Understanding of XML
// Must have knowledge of Camtasia, Adobe Presenter, Adobe Captivate, Audacity and other audio recording software.
// Awareness of recognised elearning standards such as SCORM, and AICC
// WebEx experience
// Experience of managing and providing advice on online virtual classroom adoption
// Excellent communicator with strong inter-personal skills who has the confidence to influence key stakes holders on all levels
// Experience in project management skills
// Facilitated workshops and trained in a corporate environment
