Web Designer // London // Perm // £30k – £35k

Our client, an esteemed national retailer, require a Web Designer (Graphic Web Designer / User Interface Designer / UI Designer) of middleweight experience (3-5 years) to work at their Head Office in London. The Web Designer (Graphic Web Designer / User Interface Designer / UI Designer) will have a great opportunity to immerse themselves in and shape the creative landscape of this prestigious brand across multiple channels; online, mobile and web applications etc.

The successful Web Designer (Graphic Web Designer / User Interface Designer / UI Designer) will have the following qualities and experience;

• Creative, design degree (or equivalent) – ideally digital as opposed to fashion

• Have a concept of what web is now and how it will develop in the future

• Understand web standards, code (HTML, CSS)

• Experience with design software; Adobe suite, Photoshop etc

• More UI experience than pure creative – (large emphasis on web)

In addition to this, the following would also be desirable;

• Retail / ecommerce

• Lifestyle, Fashion interest also would be good

As well as showing the expertise necessary to work with this established, high-class brand, the successful Web Designer (Graphic Web Designer / User Interface Designer / UI Designer) will also have to show the willingness and capability to step into a lead role within months. This will involve getting the opportunity to lead a team of 3-4 more junior developers.
